ABOUT THE ROLE Amrize in Saskatoon, SK is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our Construction division. As a Finisher, you will provide support in all areas. You will be responsible for placing and finishing concrete (flatwork and curb & gutter), setting up forms, prepping base course, and being involved in the demolition of existing concrete, WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH * Place and finish concrete in flatwork or curb projects * Ensure quality of finished work * Set forms for grade and design * Operate small power tools * Prepare base for final grade and compaction * Assist in demolition of existing concrete * Check work * Knowledge in using hand and power finishing tools * Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task * Be involved in daily safety meetings * Possibly operate small equipment (skid steer, mini excavator) * Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required Work Experience: Prior experience in a concrete placement would be an asset Additional Requirements: * Prior experience in a concrete placement would be an asset * Prior work with power tools would be an asset * Prior work with mobile equipment would be an asset * Safety Oriented * Able to lift 50 lbs. * Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment * Willing to work overtime when needed including Saturdays * Able to work unsupervised * Able to work well with others * Good communication skills * Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE").
