Job summary
Workday Data Migration Lead Location: GTA (Hybrid – TBD) Duration: 1 year contract Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Workday Data Migration Lead to lead the end-to-end data migration for a large-scale Workday implementation and HR transformation. The successful candidate will own the complete data lifecycle—from legacy data extraction, cleansing and transformation through Workday loading, validation, reconciliation, conversion cycles and final cutover. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end Workday data migration strategy and execution. Extract, cleanse, map, transform and migrate legacy HR/Payroll data into Workday. Lead mock conversions, validation, reconciliation and production cutover. Coordinate migration across multiple Workday modules and legacy systems. Lead migration resources and work closely with HR, Payroll, IT and the Workday implementation partner. Manage data quality, migration risks, defects, dependencies and remediation. Required Experience Proven experience leading multiple Workday data migrations end-to-end. Large-scale Workday implementation and HR/Payroll data conversion experience. Experience migrating from multiple complex legacy HR/Payroll systems into Workday. Strong knowledge of Workday business objects, data dependencies, load sequencing, reconciliation and cutover. Ability to demonstrate the scale of previous migrations, including employee population, source systems and migration team size. Experience with Workday Studio, Python, PowerShell or comparable scripting is an asset. Top Priority: We are looking for someone who has personally led the full Workday data migration lifecycle, not simply participated in a Workday implementation.
