The Clinical Pathologist diagnoses diseases and causes of death in companion and laboratory animals by examining tissues, fluids, and hematologic specimens. Responsibilities include preparing narrative reports, consulting with veterinarians, and providing scientific advice to laboratory staff. Candidates must hold a DVM/VMD degree, be a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, and be licensed to practice veterinary medicine. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are required.
