Position Title: Auto Parts Store Counterperson/Shipper/Receiver Location: Barrie, ON Type of Employment: Full-time Permanent Number of Vacancies: 1 Compensation: $19.00-23.00 per hour, based on experience, plus comprehensive group benefits Hours: * 40-44 hours per week * Tuesday to Saturday Who are we looking for? * A dedicated individual looking for long-term employment with opportunity for growth, and is committed to working reliably for 40 to 44 hours per week * A team player with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and customer-focused mindset * An individual with a passion for customer service, and knowledge of automotive aftermarket parts, cataloguing systems and/or sales/repair/service experience Position Summary As the Counterperson/Shipper/Receiver, the individual will be required to provide quality customer service and assist customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using their own automotive knowledge, the company systems and parts catalogues. They will also be required to efficiently check, pick, pack, receive, ship, stock and organize automotive parts. They will help maintain the inventory and cleanliness of the store. They will be required to dispatch drivers and reliably deliver parts to our valued customers. The successful candidate will also assist with completing any necessary paperwork in an accurate manner. Key Responsibilities * Provide quality customer service and assist customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using their own automotive knowledge, the company systems and parts catalogues * Answer inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner * Conduct follow-up calls to customers as necessary * Support all store warehouse duties (picking orders, receiving, inventory control, shipping, stocking and organizing) * Coordinate the drivers for effective dispatching of vehicles * Efficiently and safely load auto parts onto delivery vehicles * Efficiently deliver parts, being mindful of customer requests * Help control inventory and ensure product availability * Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate manner * Collaborate with the main warehouse to resolve stock-related concerns * Maintain a clean and organized store by keeping racking, shelves, pallet areas, workstations and shared spaces neat (organize products, sweep, dust, sanitize and mop) * Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team Key Requirements * Aftermarket automotive parts knowledge/experience an asset * 2+ years of customer service experience required * G Driver’s License and clean 3-year abstract required * Picking, receiving, shipping, inventory control, and stock maintenance experience is an asset * Basic math skills and ability to sort alphanumerically * Basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use Outlook, online database and web-based training) Desirable Skills and Abilities * Accountability and dependability * Excellent ability to work independently and as a team * Positive attitude and a flexible mindset * Attention to detail and excellent organization skills * Time management and prioritization skills with a deadline-oriented mindset * Ability and willingness to improve, learn and adapt in accordance with new procedures, change and technology Physical Requirements * Ability to lift and move 10 lbs. What you’ll do

Provide quality customer service and technical assistance for automotive parts both in-person and via phone. Manage warehouse operations including picking, packing, receiving, and delivering parts to customers.

Requirements

Requires at least 2 years of customer service experience and a valid G Driver's License with a clean abstract. Knowledge of aftermarket automotive parts and basic computer skills are highly preferred.
