Company Description APM Heating and Cooling is a third-generation HVAC/R company serving the local area for over 25 years, originally focused on oil heating and generator services. The company has recently expanded to offer gas, propane, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions, providing comprehensive support for residential and commercial customers. Role Description This full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Technician role is based in Mount Forest, ON. The technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, including gas, propane, oil, and AC equipment. Day-to-day duties include diagnosing system issues, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, completing safety inspections, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and in compliance with applicable codes. The role involves responding to service calls, including occasional emergency calls, communicating clearly with customers about findings and recommended solutions, and documenting work performed. The technician will work closely with the APM team to uphold quality standards and support a safe, organized work environment. Qualifications G3 or OBT3 License required. G2 or OBT2 an asset. 313D or Sheet metal license an asset. Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills for HVAC/R systems and related equipment. Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance capabilities, including inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and performance checks. Candidates should possess Electricity skills, including safe work practices, basic wiring, controls, and understanding of electrical schematics. Relevant trade certification Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for travel to customer sites. Strong communication skills, customer-focused attitude, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
