Job summary
Senior IT Auditor 📍 Markham, Ontario. 3 days on-site I'm currently recruiting for a Senior IT Auditor to join a global technology and manufacturing organization. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly visible role, partnering with IT, cybersecurity, and business leaders to strengthen internal controls, manage technology risk, and support compliance initiatives across a global environment. Key responsibilities: Lead and execute IT audits, ITGC reviews, SOX testing, operational audits, and risk assessments across multiple business units. Evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT controls, cybersecurity controls, governance processes, and compliance programs. Assess technology, cybersecurity, and business process risks, identifying control gaps and opportunities for improvement. Review key IT processes including user access management, change management, system security, and IT operations. Support cybersecurity initiatives, security investigations, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation activities. Develop audit documentation, prepare reports, communicate findings to management, and monitor remediation efforts through completion. Partner with business and technology stakeholders globally to promote strong governance, compliance, and continuous improvement. Ideal background: 3–5 years of experience in IT Audit, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Strong experience with ITGCs, ITACs, SOX compliance testing, operational audits, and risk-based auditing. Knowledge of information security frameworks, IT risk management, cybersecurity controls, and regulatory compliance requirements. Understanding of enterprise systems, networks, infrastructure, data centres, and security technologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. CISA, CISSP, or similar certification is considered an asset.
