Job Title: Automation QE – Java, selenium, Playwright (Banking Domain) Location: Toronto, ON, Canada (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite) Contract Duration: 1 Year Job Description We are seeking an experienced Automation Quality Engineer (QE) with strong expertise in Playwright automation testing and proven experience in the Banking domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in UI and API automation, test framework development, and CI/CD integration within Agile environments. Required Skills 10+ years of experience in QA Automation and Software Testing. Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework. Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript. Experience in API Testing using Postman and REST APIs. Strong knowledge of SQL, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong understanding of Banking applications and processes. Mandatory experience in one or more Banking domains: Retail Banking Digital Banking Payments Cards Lending Core Banking Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright. Execute UI, API, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End testing. Create and maintain reusable automation frameworks and test utilities. Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams. Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and defect triage meetings. Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives. Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution. Prepare test reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders. Ensure high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced Agile environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or ALM. Exposure to cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Banking project experience in large enterprise environments is highly preferred.

The Automation Quality Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, and execute various types of testing including UI and API. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.

Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in QA Automation and Software Testing, with strong hands-on experience in Playwright and proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript. Experience in the Banking domain and Agile methodologies is also required.
