Position: QA Automation Engineer Work Model: Remote Domain: Insurance – P&C / General Insurance Primary Skill: Playwright Automation Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright and the Insurance domain to join our remote engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable UI automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript, along with solid knowledge of Insurance business processes, particularly Policy, Underwriting, Rating, Billing, Claims, Renewals, Cancellations, and Endorsements. This role requires someone who can independently understand business requirements, identify automation opportunities, develop robust automated tests, troubleshoot failures, and work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust Playwright automation frameworks using TypeScript/JavaScript. Create automated UI test cases for critical insurance workflows. Develop reusable Page Object Models, fixtures, utilities, test data, and automation components. Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing. Build reliable and maintainable automation scripts using Playwright best practices. Use Playwright locators, assertions, fixtures, hooks, test annotations, parallel execution, tracing, screenshots, and video/debugging capabilities. Perform cross-browser testing across Chromium, Firefox, WebKit, Chrome, and Edge as required. Analyze failed automation tests, identify root causes, and distinguish between application defects and automation/environment issues. Integrate Playwright test suites with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. Participate in test planning, requirement reviews, test case reviews, defect triage, and release validation. Identify regression scenarios that should be automated and continuously improve automation coverage. Maintain test scripts as application functionality evolves. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot UI, API, and integration issues. Create and maintain clear automation reports and testing documentation.
