Job Title: SAP BO (BusinessObjects) Developer Location: Markham, ON Model: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite (Mon/ Tues/ Wed)) Job Type: Subcon Role Summary Job Title: SAP BO Developer (SAP BusinessObjects Developer) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled SAP BO Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support SAP BusinessObjects reporting and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in SAP BusinessObjects tools, Universe Design, Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports, and database technologies to deliver business intelligence solutions that support organizational reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain SAP BusinessObjects reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions. Create and manage Universes using Information Design Tool (IDT) and Universe Design Tool (UDT). Develop Web Intelligence (WebI) reports, Crystal Reports, and dashboards based on business requirements. Analyze reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Optimize report performance and troubleshoot report related issues. Implement data security, row level security, and user access controls. Work closely with business users, functional teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements. Perform data validation, testing, and quality assurance for reports. Support BusinessObjects platform upgrades, migrations, and deployments. Monitor system performance and provide ongoing support for BO environments. Create technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge transfer materials. Required Skills: Technical Skills Strong experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BO/BI Platform). Expertise in: Web Intelligence (WebI) Crystal Reports Information Design Tool (IDT) Universe Design Tool (UDT) Central Management Console (CMC) BusinessObjects Enterprise (BOE) Strong SQL and database querying skills. Experience with SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, or other relational databases. Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts. Experience in report performance tuning and optimization. Understanding of SAP BW, SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA is preferred. Functional Skills Requirement gathering and business analysis. Problem solving and troubleshooting. Stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to work in Agile and Waterfall project environments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years (Junior), 5+ years (Mid Level), or 8+ years (Senior) experience in SAP BusinessObjects development. SAP BO certification is an added advantage. Preferred Experience SAP BusinessObjects Platform Administration. Migration projects from older BO versions to BI 4.x. Integration with SAP BW, SAP HANA, and other SAP applications. Experience with scheduling, publications, and report bursting. Knowledge of data visualization and analytics tools.
