THE TEAM The mission of the Finance, Legal, Risk Technology team is to design, build, deliver and operate robust, efficient, and scalable technology, data, analytics, and AI solutions that align with the strategic priorities of Aritzia’s Finance, Legal, and Enterprise Risk Management functions. THE OPPORTUNITY Aritzia is growing and our Finance, Legal and Risk Technology team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to lead analytics and AI capabilities supporting Aritzia’s Finance, Legal, and Enterprise Risk Management functions to enable faster, better-informed decisions. As the Senior Manager / Manager, Analytics & AI, Finance, Legal, Risk Technology, you will set the strategy and roadmap for data products, reporting, advanced analytics, and AI; translate functional priorities into scalable solutions; and lead a high-performing team that delivers trusted insights and measurable business value. You will partner with leaders and process owners across Finance, Legal, and Enterprise Risk Management, as well as Enterprise Data & Analytics and other Technology teams, to modernize how these functions use data and AI while maintaining strong governance, controls, security, privacy, and responsible-use standards. THE ROLE As the Senior Manager / Manager, Analytics & AI, Finance, Legal, Risk Technology, you will: Own the analytics and AI strategy, operating model, and multi-year roadmap for Aritzia’s Finance, Legal, and Enterprise Risk Management departments, aligning with functional priorities, enterprise data, and technology standards. Partner with Finance, Legal, and Enterprise Risk Management leaders to define decision needs, key performance indicators (KPIs), and a prioritized portfolio of data and AI products that address each function’s most important opportunities. Lead the design and delivery of governed semantic models, dashboards, self-service reporting, predictive analytics, scenario models, and exception-based insights that establish trusted sources of information. Identify, evaluate, and scale high-value AI use cases across Finance, Legal, and Enterprise Risk Management, including forecasting, variance analysis, anomaly detection, document intelligence, risk sensing, compliance monitoring, narrative generation, workflow automation, and decision support. Partner with the Enterprise AI team to apply enterprise standards, governance, value and return-on-investment frameworks, and responsible AI requirements across Finance, Legal, and Enterprise Risk Management use cases, including intake, risk assessment, human oversight, model monitoring, data lineage, access controls, documentation, privacy, security, regulatory compliance, financial controls, and records management. Define functional outcomes and adoption plans for analytics and AI products, measure value realization using Enterprise AI frameworks, and improve or retire solutions that do not meet business, control, risk, or user needs. Communicate complex analytical findings, model limitations, controls, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders in clear, decision-ready language. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of analytics professionals while coordinating delivery with Finance, Legal, and Enterprise Risk Management process owners, Enterprise Data & Analytics, other Technology teams, and external partners. THE QUALIFICATIONS The Senior Manager / Manager, Analytics & AI, Finance, Legal, Risk Technology has: Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience: Leading an analytics, data product, business intelligence, data science, or AI function in a complex enterprise environment Business processes and decision support within finance, legal, risk, compliance, or other corporate functions, with the ability to work across distinct functional priorities and information needs Translating business strategy and requirements into roadmaps and governed data products, including semantic models, dashboards, analytical solutions, and executive insights SQL and either Python or R, with the ability to guide technical design, analytical methods, quality assurance, and code-review standards Modern cloud data platforms and business intelligence tools, with BigQuery experience preferred Applying machine learning, generative AI, copilots, document intelligence, or intelligent automation to enterprise workflows, including evaluation, monitoring, adoption, and value measurement Data governance, privacy, security, responsible AI, model risk, lineage, access management, and controls for sensitive financial, legal, risk, and corporate information Leading cross-functional delivery and coaching analytics professionals to produce high-quality, scalable, and adopted solutions A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business THE COMPENSATION At Aritzia, we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy. The range for roles at this level is $100,000-$300,000 per year. Total compensation may include base, bonus and/or equity depending on the role, which has the potential to be greater than this range. Requirements
The role requires extensive experience leading data, analytics, or AI functions within a complex enterprise environment. Candidates must possess strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and cloud data platforms, alongside expertise in data governance and business process support.
