Reporting to the Senior Manager, Learning & Development, the Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, facilitating, and evaluating learning experiences that enhance individual capability and support organizational performance. This role partners with leaders and subject matter experts across the business to create engaging learning solutions, manage learning technologies, and support a culture of continuous learning. The successful candidate is collaborative, adaptable, learner-focused, and passionate about helping others grow while driving measurable business impact. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain learning programs, workshops, curricula, tools, and resources that support business objectives and team member development. * Partner with leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and create effective learning solutions. * Facilitate engaging classroom, virtual, and blended learning experiences using adult learning principles and instructional design best practices. * Develop learning evaluation tools and measure the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives. * Create and support train-the-trainer programs that build internal facilitation capability across the organization. * Administer and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS), including learner support, reporting, content management, and system enhancements. * Maintain accurate learning records, certifications, and compliance-related training requirements. * Leverage digital learning tools and technology to enhance learner engagement and accessibility. * Support learning and development projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement opportunities across the organization. What You Bring * Ability to build strong, trusted relationships with leaders, subject matter experts, and team members across the organization. * Strong facilitation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences both virtually and in person. * Accountability and sound judgment in managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholder needs. * A learner-focused mindset with a genuine passion for helping others develop and succeed. * Curiosity and initiative to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and enhanced learning experiences. * Adaptability and resilience when managing change and evolving business priorities. * Commitment to professionalism, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. Experience & Qualifications * Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * 3+ years of experience designing and developing learning programs, curriculum, and learning resources. * Experience facilitating training and development programs for diverse audiences. * Experience working with Learning Management Systems and digital learning technologies. * Solid Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning evaluation practices. * Experience supporting organizational learning, leadership development, or capability-building initiatives is considered an asset. * Certification in instructional design, facilitation, psychometric tools, or learning technologies is considered an asset.
