Our Finance group is currently looking to add a Corporate Accountant to our team, based in Calgary or Blackfalds, AB. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role will work with multiple internal teams within the corporate accounting group. The position requires intermediate analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles and is responsible for performing accounting activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal finance policies, accounting standards, and regulations. Duties And Responsibilities Prepare monthly Bank reconciliation and follow up on outstanding bank transactions Assist corporate controller with preparation of full cycle accounting and monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting, including the preparation of month-end reporting packages Prepare account reconciliation for various accounts Upload Weekly/monthly man hours into designated system Assist in the review and preparation of working papers for audits Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures Maintain fixed asset records and perform capital accounting, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation Perform ad-hoc and various other duties as required by management Requirements Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry Designated as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), or working towards designation Proficient with all Microsoft office products Experience with JD Edwards, Eclipse, OneStream Benefits We offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that includes a complete range of employee benefits to ensure you have the tools necessary to manage, maintain, and improve your health and wellbeing. What you’ll do

Requirements

Candidates need a post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 years of experience, preferably in the construction industry. A CPA designation or progress toward one is required, along with proficiency in JD Edwards, Eclipse, and OneStream.
