Position Field Technical Representative Job Description What You'll Be Doing Primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive technical support for customer design and system development. Key areas of responsibility are: Demand Creation: Focus on customer presentations, semiconductor product introductions, and technical sales training for the local Arrow Electronics sales team. Account Management: Assist with selling opportunities through a planned discovery process. Become proficient in understanding customer's needs and how to translate those needs to Arrow requirements or opportunities. Relationships: Ability to stay current on product knowledge and/or obtain technical certifications. Attend supplier training events to keep up to date on product line. Understand supplier databases and keep design registration information accurate. Display awareness and knowledge of current related technologies in customer base, and attend training as needed. This job profile requires the assignment and participation in a sales compensation plan. A portion of OTE will be variable and tied to specific sales-related goals as set forth by Arrow. What We're Looking For 2 - 3 years of experience in a Technical Sales Representative or similar function and a 4 year Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience in semiconductor design, electrical engineer, sales engineer, field application engineer is preferred French speaking is preferred. Strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn Ability to balance multiple priorities and organization skills are key Must have strong interpersonal and presentations skills and enjoy meeting with people Candidate must be located in Montreal, Ottawa, or Toronto to support local markets. Experience / Education Typically requires a 4 year degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
