This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the human resources field and contribute to the day-to-day recruitment initiatives of our HR department in Kamloops, BC. The Student Human Resources Coordinator will primarily support the team with recruitment. As well, this role will provide transactional HR support such as assisting with the preparation of various documents, recruitment initiatives, retention initiatives, training and other areas as directed. Other duties involve maintaining accurate, up-to-date HR management systems, personnel records and metrics reports. Great People Work Here! Responsibilities Support the recruitment and selection processes by placing ads, searching through resumes, filtering through the internal database Conduct pre-screening, reference checks, and associated testing as well as other tasks necessary in the recruitment and selection process Assist the HR team in document preparation, editing and updating HR-related policies and documents Ensure the information in our employee system is accurate and reflects protocols as set up by HR Assist with updating and auditing all systems as required i.e. SharePoint, company intranet site, Learning Management System, etc. Assist with the coordination and implementation of retention programs Prepare formal communications to employees for HR management review such as drafting general forms, letters, reports, and memos Respond to internal and external Human Resources related inquiries from clients, department managers, business partners, and other parties Assist with regular research and compliance initiatives regarding human resources issues Help to ensure organization wide compliance with policies, procedures and applicable regulations Assist with training program coordination Provide assistance with regards to organizational research Receive and distribute all forms of HR communications Perform other duties as required and assigned by the HR team You Possess Working towards post secondary degree or diploma in human resources Preference of 1+ years relevant experience Preference will be given to candidates who have their CPHR student candidate Experienced and proficient with Adobe edit functions, building Excel reports, and formatting Word documents Requires great communication (verbal and written), facilitation, and public relations skills to build effective relationships within the corporation and with external clients Requires the ability to problem-solve beyond conventional methods, champion and manage change, and gain the cooperation of others Excellent time management and demonstrated ability to establish priorities and to plan Strong action management skills including ability to manage project in the most cost efficient manner Strong ability to prioritize based on business needs and risk mitigation Demonstrates a sense of responsibility, accountability, dependability and commitment to the organization Can be relied upon to handle confidential information in a professional manner Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment Ability to quickly learn new computer applications i.e. Learning Management System, Applicant Tracking System, Microsoft BI Reports, etc.) The embodiment of Arrow's Core Values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Responsibility, Teamwork, and Fun! #IND Arrow has been recognized as a Top Fleet Employer of Distinction, a SmartWay Transport Partner, a BCTA Clean Carrier, a BC Hydro Clean Energy Champion and as a Carrier of Excellence in Women's Leadership.
