Job summary
Location: Mississauga, ON Canada Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM Pay Rate: $25-27/hour Start Date: ASAP Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a Linehaul Operations & Systems Coordinator to coordinate daily linehaul activities while leveraging technology, data, and automation to improve transportation operations. The ideal candidate has experience in logistics/transportation and a strong technical aptitude, including exposure to scripting, programming, or process automation. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily linehaul schedules, routes, carrier movements, and shipment activities. Monitor shipments, identify delays or exceptions, and coordinate timely resolutions with drivers, carriers, terminals, and internal teams. Maintain accurate transportation and shipment information within TMS, ERP, and other operational systems. Analyze operational data and prepare reports to monitor service levels, transit times, capacity, and performance. Develop and maintain Excel-based tools, reports, dashboards, and automated processes to improve operational efficiency. Use SQL, Python, VBA, PowerShell, or similar scripting/programming tools to automate repetitive tasks and support data analysis. Identify system or data issues and work with IT/technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Support process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce manual work, errors, and operational costs. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in linehaul, transportation, logistics, dispatch, or related operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Advanced Excel skills; experience with TMS/WMS/ERP systems preferred. Hands-on experience with coding, scripting, programming, or automation is required. Experience with SQL, Python, VBA, Power BI, or similar tools is an asset. Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ideal Candidate A logistics/transportation professional who is technically savvy and comfortable using coding, scripting, and automation to improve day-to-day linehaul operations.
