Job summary

Tenure: Full-Time, Permanent Location: Scarborough, ON Salary: $80,000–$110,000 annually Key Responsibilities Apply knowledge of plastics and mechanical systems to create detailed 3D models, tool drawings, and supporting documentation based on customer requirements. Translate dimensional layout data into a solid-model environment and provide accurate information to support manufacturing. Maintain proper file handling, storage, and documentation in accordance with company standards. Prepare clear, accurate, and precise technical documentation. Follow proper drawing control and release procedures. Work independently and manage projects or tasks through to successful completion, particularly under tight deadlines. Collaborate effectively with manufacturing and other internal teams to ensure tooling requirements are met. Qualifications Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mold Maker Certificate. 4–5 years of relevant experience in tooling, mold design, or a similar manufacturing environment. Proficient in CAD and basic solid modeling. Strong understanding of plastics and mechanical principles. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Experience with lean manufacturing practices is an asset. Proficiency in MS Project, Word, and Excel. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drive projects/tasks to successful completion.
