Job summary
We are seeking a skilled Data Center Services Professional to support and lead work within customer data centers and colocation facilities. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and operation of optical transport infrastructure while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with fiber optic infrastructure, optical testing, troubleshooting, and data center operations. This position requires occasional travel of up to 25%. Key Responsibilities Support fiber installation, decommissioning, migrations, remediation, and break/fix activities in data center environments. Perform and supervise optical testing and troubleshooting using tools such as OTDRs, optical power meters, VFLs, and light sources. Audit work performed by technicians and vendors to ensure quality and adherence to standards. Interface directly with customers, providing status updates, documentation, and technical support. Execute work according to Methods of Procedure (MoPs), engineering documentation, and network diagrams. Interpret cut sheets and physical network designs to ensure accurate connectivity and cable management. Maintain detailed documentation and operational records. Required Qualifications 3–15 years of experience in data center operations, telecommunications, or a related technical environment. Experience leading teams or coordinating field activities. Strong hands-on experience with: Single-mode and multi-mode fiber Connectorized fiber optic cabling LC connectors, fan-outs, and structured cabling Fiber installation and troubleshooting Proficiency with optical testing equipment, including OTDRs, optical power meters, and VFLs. Ability to read and interpret network diagrams, engineering documents, and installation procedures. Strong communication, organizational, and customer-facing skills. Ability to multitask and perform effectively in fast-paced, high-availability environments. Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Requirements
Candidates should have 3-15 years of experience in data center operations or telecommunications, with strong hands-on experience in fiber optic infrastructure. Leadership experience and strong communication skills are also required.
