The Company's current focus is the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. Reporting to the Superintendent - Supply Chain, the Inventory Analyst supports the monitoring and maintenance of inventory levels, item categories and supporting warehouse activities to meet operational requirements. Assists identifying material requirements, correct stocking levels and ensuring that the needs of the business are met. Work Location: Can be based at the Prince George or Vancouver office. Responsibilities Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems. Support continuous improvement and the implementation of inventory management processes, policies, and guidelines. Assist with analyzing material demand and identifying potential inventory requirements. Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential risks, and report or escalate findings to the appropriate end users and stakeholders. Monitor inventory levels, turnover rates, stock aging to anticipate demand and avoid excess or obsolete inventory. Support procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory items based on demand forecasts, lead times, and stock availability. Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders. Contribute to work simplification and cost reduction ideas. Respond to routine inventory inquiries and escalate complex issues as required. Qualifications Post-secondary education in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and practical experience. Professional certification in inventory management is an advantage. Experience supporting demand planning, forecasting, or inventory analysis is an asset Basic understanding of inventory control procedures and best practices. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, procurement, or supply-chain roles (mining or heavy-industry experience is an advantage). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review inventory data, identify trends and discrepancies, and communicate findings. Advanced Microsoft Excel, with the ability to organize, analyze, and present inventory data. Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems is an asset. Experience with Power BI or other reporting and data visualization tools is an asset. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
