Founded in 2018, by Jean-Christophe Lambert, Thibault Baldivia, Clément Dinel and Benoît Ferran, Ascendance is a French and European independent aerospace company designing and industrializing next-generation hybrid-electric propulsion systems for civil and defense aviation. Our mission is to address the key challenges facing the aerospace industry today: decarbonization, performance, operational efficiency and technological sovereignty. We are deeply convinced that hybrid-electric propulsion is not a compromise, but a mature, pragmatic and scalable solution for modern aviation. In a context where full-electric architectures reach their limits and mission requirements continue to evolve, Ascendance provides integrated, proven and ready-to-deploy hybrid propulsion technologies, compatible with new fuels and future aviation standards. Our solutions are designed for a wide range of aeronautical platforms and mission profiles, including : - Drones and unmanned aerial systems (UAS), - light aircraft, - regional aviation, addressing passenger transport, cargo logistics, medical evacuation and security missions, across both civil and defense markets. By enabling extended range, reduced operational costs, lower noise levels and significant CO₂ emissions reduction, Ascendance contributes to building a more efficient, resilient and responsible aviation ecosystem. Mainely supported by Bpifrance, the France 2030 program and the Occitanie Region, Ascendance positions itself as a pioneer of high-performance and sovereign hybrid-electric technologies, with a clear ambition : To become the European reference for integrated hybrid-electric propulsion, shaping the future of aviation.
