Ascent Systems Technologies (AST) develops and delivers advanced autonomous systems for defence, security, and remote operations. Our flagship technology, the Autonomous Multipurpose Energy System / Autonomous Environment Monitoring and Surveillance (AMES/AEMS) platform, is a self-contained, self-deployable module that combines built-in clean energy generation and storage, intelligent power management, advanced sensing with AI-enabled data fusion, and secure communications. Originally created under the Canada’s Department of National Defence IDEaS program, AEMS is now deployed for evaluation by Transport Canada to support remote Arctic airfield operations. The platform’s modular design enables a wide range of mission payloads, including hosted reconnaissance UAVs, kinetic counter-UAS systems, surface rovers for minefield breaching, equipment for persistent pan-domain communication, and more. All AST technology is engineered for zero carbon and minimal physical footprint, enabling missions where true autonomy, resilience, and rapid deployment are critical—whether in military operations, disaster response, recovery, or remote infrastructure support.
