Associa, British Columbia's leading property management company, is now accepting applications for a Strata Accountant to join our Surrey office. The duties for this position include the following: Prepare monthly full Financials Package Prepare Journal Entries (adjusting, accrual and reversing) Review & record monthly, scheduled and ad-hoc charges Cash Management Delinquency status management pursuant to reminder notices Reconcile and transfer Blended Payments of Sections Preparation of Proposed Budget Worksheets & Fees Update approved budgets to systems Prepare and process approved refunds Prepare invoices for charge backs and strata fees owing by Developers and other third parties Meet with Board’s Treasurers to clarify or resolve matters related to the financials Liaise with External Auditors Prepare monthly and annual GL account reconciliations GST filing & remittance, including reconciliation schedules Verify contingency reserve funds balance Analysis of charge types and amounts owed by unit owners Attending to accounting related queries Ensure that financial related records of the Strata Corporations are maintained or electronically filed in accordance with the Company’s electronic data management procedures. Perform and comply with accounting tasks, which may change from time to time in keeping with changing requirements of regulatory bodies and changes in the industry.
