In this role, you will provide leadership, mentorship, technical direction, and business development support to a multidisciplinary team of environmental professionals. Liaising with engineering colleagues and project managers to integrate our service delivery. Mentoring, recruiting, and training staff. Identifying business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and executing business development initiatives. Supporting the team in the successful completion of projects and proposals. Providing strategic and technical advice throughout the project cycle. Developing and achieving annual business goals for the operation. Does this sound like you? Undergraduate degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, geoscience, or related discipline; graduate degree preferred. Professional registration or eligibility for registration (e.g., P.Geo., P.Eng., P.Ag., P.Biol., or equivalent). 12+ years of post-graduation experience as an environmental specialist or lead in a related field discipline (e.g., contaminated sites, geosciences). Demonstrated environmental consulting experience, with leadership and project management responsibilities, is an asset. Proven success leading, coaching, motivating, and mentoring staff Business development experience in private and public sectors. Ability to win work and develop relationships with clients. Proven business acumen and strong decision-making skills. Determination to deliver on commitments. Knowledge of the Alberta market, including the regulatory, social and cultural context. Requirements
An undergraduate degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, geoscience, or a related discipline is required, with a graduate degree preferred; professional registration or eligibility for registration is also expected. Candidates should have at least 12 years of relevant post-graduation experience, environmental consulting and leadership or project management experience, business development capability, and knowledge of Alberta’s market and regulatory context.
