Full Stack Developer – TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (4 Days WFO) Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and AWS to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will be hands-on across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to architecture, application development, cloud deployment, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using TypeScript. • Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise-grade applications. • Develop robust backend services and data access layers leveraging PostgreSQL. • Design secure, reliable, and high-performing cloud solutions on AWS. • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions. • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making. • Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices to improve deployment efficiency. • Troubleshoot application, database, and infrastructure issues across environments. • Ensure adherence to security, scalability, performance, and coding standards. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of full-stack development experience. • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern application development practices. • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, database design, query optimization, and data modeling. • Extensive experience with AWS services such as: • EC2 • Lambda • ECS/EKS • RDS • S3 • API Gateway • CloudWatch • IAM • Experience building and integrating REST APIs and microservices. • Strong understanding of software design patterns, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures. • Experience with Git, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and automated testing frameworks. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Nice to Have • Experience with Okta, OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SSO, and authentication/authorization frameworks. • Solution architecture and system design experience. • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), Docker, and Kubernetes. • Experience designing highly available and scalable enterprise solutions. • Exposure to observability and monitoring tools. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. • AWS Certification (Developer, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer) is a plus. • Experience working in banking, financial services, or other regulated industries is an advantage.
