About The Role ATB Cormark Capital Markets is a wholly owned subsidiary of ATB Financial, an Alberta-based institution with offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Denver. Together, we represent a highly specialized team of experts who provide a full suite of financial service solutions including: Advise on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and private equity transactions Equity capital, debt capital and financial markets Corporate banking, loan syndications and project finance Institutional sales and trading Institutional research to leverage industry and sector insight ATB Capital Markets is looking for a Summer 2027 Student to support our Research Team and a key project involving industry database manipulation, analysis, and developing insights from data. This role will be working 100% onsite out of our Capital Markets office located in either Calgary, AB or Toronto, ON. This is a paid position with compensation ranging between $38/hr-$42/hr based on experience. Accountabilities Create and maintain company financial models. Create exhibits suitable for supporting analysis and publishing. Maintenance of industry databases and company-specific spreadsheets as well as the use of industry-specific software. Assist in generating research publications including writing, editing, and final report preparation. Conduct primary research from industry and financial sources. Prepare and maintain marketing presentations as required. Liaise with sales, trading and other areas of the firm within regulatory guidelines. Skills, Experience & Requirements Pursuing a university degree focused on Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Geology. Must be willing and able to work onsite 100% at our office located in Calgary, AB or Toronto, ON. Passionate about investment research. Ability to conduct in-depth fundamental investment research. Strong accounting, financial modeling, technical and writing skills. Experience working with market data sets and add-ins including Bloomberg, Thomson, FactSet and Capital IQ a plus. Must have extensive MS Excel experience. Excellent command of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, etc.). Need to possess strong written and verbal communication skills in both technical and non-technical forms. Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines, sometimes for extended periods. Ability to multitask and manage several on-going projects at the same time with a client-oriented focus. Self-motivated, hardworking and detail-oriented. Coding experience is an asset. Requirements

Candidates must be pursuing a university degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Geology. Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling is required, with experience in market data tools being a plus.
