Competition Number: 2026-062 Position: Housing Maintenance Lead Department: Community Development Employment Status: Full-Time Salary: $31- $42/HR – 35 Hours per Week Location: Naughton, ON Closing Date: September 29, 2026, at 4:00pm **AT THIS TIME, WE WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM CURRENT INTERNAL EMPLOYEES AND BAND MEMBERS** POSITION SCOPE: The Housing Maintenance Lead is responsible for the coordination and delivery of housing maintenance services to ensure community housing units are safe, functional, and well maintained. The role oversees day-to-day maintenance activities, conducts inspections, coordinates repairs and preventive maintenance, and responds to routine and emergency maintenance issues. The position supports maintenance planning, budgeting, and record-keeping, and works collaboratively with internal staff, contractors, and community members while upholding the values and priorities of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent Diploma in Facilities Management, Mechanical Techniques, Construction Management, or a related field is considered an asset Technical training in building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems (preferred) Diploma in Facilities Management, Mechanical Techniques, Construction Management, or a related field (asset) Minimum of three (3) years of experience in housing maintenance or a related field KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct regular inspections of housing units to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns Coordinate and carry out routine repairs and preventive maintenance on housing units and building systems Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution Coordinate contractors and external service providers for specialized maintenance work Assist with maintenance budget planning, cost estimates, and procurement of materials and services Monitor maintenance expenditures and maintain financial tracking tools We offer attractive benefits, opportunities for advancement and an engaging work environment.
