This position is responsible for operating a variety of equipment and performing manual labour required to maintain highway and right-of-way assets in accordance with OMR standards and contractual requirements. This role will be based in Dow Settlement, NB. Your role Operate highway maintenance vehicles and equipment including snow plow trucks, dump trucks, loaders, skid steer loaders, tractors and light vehicles. Perform snow and ice control activities including plowing, sanding and salting. Complete pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Perform general highway maintenance and labour duties as required. Set up traffic control and assist with emergency response and site clean-up. Complete daily work records and reports. Assist mechanics with routine vehicle and equipment maintenance as needed. Assist with yard maintenance and general housekeeping. Work rotating shifts during Winter Operations. Overtime and on-call work may be required during winter weather events. About you Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred. Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred. General knowledge of highway maintenance operations is an asset. Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence. Clean driver's abstract. Able to work safely in all weather conditions. Available to work rotating shifts, overtime and on-call during Winter Operations. Requirements

Requires a valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's license with a clean abstract and the ability to work safely in all weather conditions. At least 2 years of related experience and heavy equipment operation experience are preferred.
