We are seeking a Senior Planner to join our Minerals & Metals Department. The successful candidate will report to the Planning & Scheduling Department. The person in this position will work closely with all disciplines and project Managers to manage all planning & Scheduling subjects. This role will be based in Toronto, Ontario. YOUR ROLE * Lead the development of the overall project planning and scheduling strategy, including schedule structure, logic, phasing, milestones, and integration across disciplines. * Ensure full schedule integration across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. * Ensure alignment between schedule, cost, progress measurement, and Earned Value Management (EVM) systems. * Support the preparation and validation of executive level dashboards, client reports, and progress narratives. * Provide clear, actionable insights to Project Directors, senior management, and clients regarding schedule risks and opportunities. * Evaluate the schedule impacts of scope changes, variations, and claims, including time impact and delay analyses / support claim avoidance and dispute resolution by providing robust schedule logic, documentation, and analysis. * Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to junior and intermediate planners/ contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including tools, templates, lessons learned, and best practices. ABOUT YOU * Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in Engineering is preferred. * 10+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling. Previous experience supporting EPCM projects is considered a strong asset. * Previous experience working on mining and metallurgy projects. * Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, with strong knowledge of integrated project controls systems and processes. * Strong expertise in critical path analysis, Earned Value Management (EVM), schedule risk analysis, and delay analysis methodologies. * Proven ability to work effectively and confidently with clients, executive stakeholders, and project leadership teams. Written and spoken bilingualism in French and English is considered a significant asset.
