Job details

Integrator / Chief Operating Officer AH Injury Law www.ahinjurylaw.com Remote (Ontario), Full-time This posting is for an existing vacancy. Compensation: $150,000-200,000 base salary, plus a performance bonus tied to firm results. A long-term incentive (profit share or phantom equity) will be considered after year one. About us AH Injury Law is an Ontario plaintiff personal injury firm, founded in 2005 and still led by its two founding lawyers. We’re a fully remote team of about 25 people across Ontario, including 10 lawyers. We have a strong reputation, a loyal team, and an ambitious plan to grow across the province. Why this role exists We’ve outgrown a founder-run structure. Today, every business function reports to our CEO and that has become a constraint on growth. We’re looking for a senior operator who will own execution of the business so our founders can focus on vision, key relationships and legal excellence. This isn’t an advisory role. You’ll run the firm day to day. What you’ll own Leading all business functions: operations, finance management, intake, marketing execution, and people and talent Building and running our leadership team, weekly scorecard, and quarterly planning (EOS) Improving case throughput and lawyer capacity so files move predictably to resolution Building the management layer the firm needs, including several key hires in your first year Owning the budget, forecasting and the path to a 25% operating margin Being the team’s default point of contact for operational decisions, so issues come to you, not the founders You’ll succeed in your first year if: The founders are out of day-to-day operations. Our operating system runs without them. Case throughput and revenue grow. Priority hires are made and retained. Our intake engine is measured and improving. What we’re looking for 7+ years in senior operations leadership (COO, Integrator, VP Operations or General Manager) in a growing private business A verifiable track record of growing a business’s revenue and profit, where you can show the numbers before and after and explain what you personally built or changed Growth was efficient: revenue and profit grew faster than headcount Experience in a business where licensed or skilled professionals deliver the service, such as law, accounting, engineering, consulting or multi-location healthcare Experience growing a founder-led business of comparable size, without a large corporate parent’s resources Experience steering a business through a period when results went the wrong way Proven success leading a remote or distributed team Lives in Ontario Strong assets: law firm, insurance or healthcare experience; EOS Integrator experience; experience as the #2 to a founder. How you’ll work This is a remote role. You’ll be available during core business hours, active in our communication channels, and on camera for meetings and regular one-on-ones. You’ll also spend time in person, including onboarding with our CEO, regular in-person sessions with the CEO, quarterly and annual planning, and periodic visits to team members across Ontario. How to apply Please send your resume and written answers to the three questions below to richard@ahinjurylaw.com . Applications without answers to the questions won’t be considered. Keep each answer to about 250 words. Describe a business where you drove growth. What were revenue, profit and headcount when you started and when you left? What did you personally build, change or decide that produced that growth? Describe a period when results went the wrong way. What did you do, and what happened? How have you led a remote or distributed team so that people brought issues and decisions to you rather than to the founder or CEO? We do not use artificial intelligence to screen, assess or select applicants. We are committed to an inclusive hiring process. Accommodation is available on request at any stage.
