Reports To: Production Manager Shift / Assignment: Assigned across shifts as needed (1 position currently, expected to grow) Compensation: $28–$32/hour Position Summary Keeps production equipment running — pre-roll makers, packers, baggers, printing/labelling equipment, and mills. Handles preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, and is the technical escalation point when a Machine Technician can't resolve an issue on their own. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on pre-roll makers, packers, baggers, printers/labellers, and mills per the maintenance schedule. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults on production equipment; minimize downtime. Respond to shift-floor breakdowns as the escalation point above what Machine Technicians can troubleshoot themselves. Maintain maintenance logs, parts usage, and equipment history; flag recurring failure patterns to the Process and Product Engineer. Support changeovers and new equipment/line commissioning alongside the Process and Product Engineer. Manage spare parts inventory for critical production equipment; order parts proactively to avoid stockouts. Coach Machine Technicians on basic troubleshooting to reduce reliance on Maintenance for minor issues. Qualifications & Experience Millwright, industrial mechanic, or electromechanical trade background; certification an asset, not required if experience is strong. Experience maintaining packaging, filling, or similar automated production equipment — tobacco, food, pharma, or cannabis equipment experience is a strong plus. Comfortable working across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Able to read equipment manuals, schematics, and OEM documentation. Auxly is an equal opportunity employer.
