We are currently seeking a qualified Test Engineering Supervisor is responsible for the optimal execution of testing activities and coaching the work team to ensure that products are tested according to standards, technical specifications and quality requirements. Location: Montreal, Quebec Job Type: Full-time Working Arrangement: Onsite Responsibilities Lead and supervise multiple engineering and production teams. Review program requirements, production constraints, and resolve operational conflicts. Plan and allocate resources according to production schedules and business priorities. Coordinate with Program Managers, Line Managers, and Planning teams to ensure smooth operations. Monitor resource, material, and operational availability while maintaining quality standards. Identify production risks and implement mitigation and recovery plans. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and efficiency. Coach, mentor, and train employees to support skill development and team performance. Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for production staff. Support performance evaluations and recommend employee development opportunities. Participate in recruitment activities, including interviewing prospective candidates. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and collective agreements. Develop, maintain, and implement department processes, work instructions, and standards. Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic workforce and resource planning initiatives. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards across production operations. Act as backup to the Production Manager when required. Communicate effectively across departments to ensure operational alignment and issue resolution. Support Business Process Improvement (BPI/OPA) initiatives to improve service delivery and operational efficiency. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in systems, Software, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in the engineering/manufacturing field. The candidate must have demonstrated good interpersonal skills, conflict resolution and leadership skills. Knowledge of electronic and mechanical technologies involved in the production of space equipment is an asset. Professional aspirations to manage teams of people in a dynamic environment. Experience or interest in developing skills in resource management, negotiations, risk management techniques and financial reporting. Excellent understanding of planning tools and ERP logic. Knowledge of planning, purchasing, finance, and ERP system modules and understanding of the interrelationship of these modules. Advanced Excel skills, Advanced interpersonal, communication skills Knowledge of manufacturing processes is an asset. Experience in a unionized environment. Compensation: $90,000 – $105,000 CAD (annual salary) The base salary or rate offered to an applicant within this range is determined by considering several factors, including the individual's geographic location, skills, competencies, and unique qualifications.
