Role Overview We are looking for a detail-driven Drafting Estimator to support our project teams from the pre-sales phase through to installation. In this role, you will prepare accurate project estimates, develop clear and comprehensive system drawings, and produce the documentation our technical team relies on to deliver flawless installations in some of the region's most prestigious homes. You will work closely with our Project Coordinators, Senior Technicians, and Client Concierge team to ensure every project is scoped, priced, and documented to AVI-Design's exacting standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed project estimates and equipment proposals based on client briefs, architectural drawings, and site information Develop clear system drawings, floor plans, rack elevations, and wiring diagrams for use by the installation team Produce and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and equipment schedules Review architectural and construction drawings to identify AV, automation, lighting, and network requirements Collaborate with Project Coordinators and Senior Technicians to ensure estimates reflect real-world installation requirements Maintain and update drawing packages as project scopes evolve through design and construction phases Support the sales process by preparing polished, client-ready proposal documentation Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain current pricing and product specifications Manage and organize project documentation in a structured and accessible format Ensure all drawings and estimates comply with AVI-Design standards and project-specific requirements Qualifications & Requirements 2+ years of experience in a drafting, estimating, or technical documentation role — ideally in AV integration, low-voltage, construction, or a related field Experience with D-Tools (System Integrator) for project estimation and proposal generation is a significant advantage Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Visio for producing system drawings, floor plans, and wiring diagrams is highly valued Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and construction drawings Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation and pricing Familiarity with home automation, AV, or low-voltage systems is a definite asset Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Comfortable with Microsoft 365, including Excel for pricing and scheduling tasks Strong written communication skills for producing clear, professional documentation What We Offer Competitive compensation commensurate with experience A collaborative team environment working on prestigious luxury residential projects Exposure to leading home automation platforms and a constantly evolving technology landscape Ongoing professional development and manufacturer training opportunities Stable, full-time role with a well-established and growing company A culture built on precision, accountability, and pride in excellent work

Requirements
Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in drafting or estimating, preferably in AV integration or construction. Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with home automation systems are highly valued.
