Job Summary: The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer's primary function is to bridge the gap between Engineering and Operations, assist/oversee all larger FAT/EQT product testing, and provide support to improve the overall efficiency and quality of the product and production cycle. Job Responsibilities: 1. Support the electrical (and basic mechanical) assembly process by interpreting approved design models/drawings and communicating the solutions to the shop floor. 2. Improve the overall efficiency of the plant assembly process, including testing and QA processes. 3. Work with lead hands in production and develop engineering solutions for production and design issues. 4. Assist in creating and implementing engineering change requests (ECR). 5. Assist in improving product quality and consistency through refinements and improvements in the assembly process. 6. Work with the Electrical and Mechanical assembly teams to ensure the build process's accuracy and support the Project Managers to ensure budget and timelines are protected. 7. Support root-cause analysis and develop corrective measures with QA for issues that extend through the manufacturing process. 8. Work with Engineering and Operations to develop methods, and research tools for improving the assembly process. Qualifications: 1. Diploma or degree in electrical engineering/technology required 2. Experience in electrical assembly/production environment. 3. Electrical knowledge and experience with CSA, UL, NEC. 4. Must demonstrate attention to detail and provide accuracy in calculations and documentation. 5. Experience with AutoCAD software. 6. Experience with Solidworks CAD software an asset. 7. The ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings. 8. ERP knowledge would be considered an asset. 9. Must have a valid driver's license and travel primarily in North America but potentially abroad. 10. P.Eng Designation an asset. Other Requirements: 1. Demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. 2. Understand how this position impacts the quality of products and services our customers provide. 3.
