Company Description Safety First Contracting doing business as AWP Safety is presently accepting applications to fill various openings for Traffic Control Persons. Job Description Responsibilities include: Ensuring temporary workplace are signed in accordance with provincial requirements Ensuring all equipment required for the day is loaded on the truck prior to departing Interacting with customers in the field to understand scope of work and level of traffic control required Ensuring Traffic Control Persons are following all safety policies in the field Acting as a Traffic Control Person while crew members are on breaks/lunches Performing routine inspections of temporary workplaces Qualifications Training & Requirements: Provincial Traffic Control Person Certification Provincial Traffic Control Agent/Signer Certification Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Steel-to boots Provincial Traffic Control Person Certification Provincial Traffic Control Agent/Signer Certification Licence/Certification: Nova Scotia Traffic Control Person Certificate (preferred) Nova Scotia Temporary Workplace Signer Certificate (preferred) Nova Scotia Class 5 Drivers license (preferred) Additional Information AWP Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). Requirements
Candidates must hold provincial Traffic Control Person and Signer certifications and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. A valid driver's license and steel-toed boots are also required for this role.
