Location: Montreal Work Mode: Hybrid (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week) Duration: 12 Months Contract Position Responsibilities Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to build surveillance models. Design, implement, and test surveillance models in an agile environment. Work with Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, DevOps, and other teams to understand model requirements. Enhance the company's resilience to threats and fraudulent behavior. Requirements Minimum 5 years of hands-on software development experience in the Java ecosystem. Experience with Spark on big data platforms. DevOps CI/CD experience in test and release automation. Strong database experience, preferably with DB2, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Understanding of the complete SDLC process and Agile Methodology (Scrum). Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical users. Preferred Skills Experience with Scala and containerized techniques like Docker or Podman. Web UI experience using HTML5, JavaScript, Angular/React framework. Proficiency in high-quality software architecture and design methodologies and patterns. Experience with workflow and rule engines. Hands-on data mining and analytical work experience. Knowledge of layered and component-based architecture. Experience with Unix OS, scripting, and Python. Native cloud experience, preferably on Azure. Familiarity with design patterns, preferably the GoF set of patterns. Experience with XML technologies including SAX, DOM, XSL, and SOAP. Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet generation and use. Experience with Spring Boot and data access APIs such as JDBC. This role is for an existing vacancy.
