We're looking for Construction Safety Officers who pair deep knowledge of Provincial OH&S legislation with the influence and coaching skills to change habits, not just enforce rules. If you can walk a site, spot a risk before it becomes an incident, and get a crew to genuinely buy in — we want to talk. Now hiring for Vancouver and Coquitlam. Key Responsibilities Monitor and enhance safety by tracking issues, maintaining records of incidents, and suggesting improvements; Document and track issues and potential risks in our safety management software (Hammertech); Conduct orientations, training, and safety coordination for workers and subcontractors; Perform safety inspections, hazard assessments, and provide guidance on tool and equipment usage; Lead emergency response, manage First Aid resources, investigate incidents, and collaborate on safety record management. Skills & Experience 2 or more (2+) years related experience in a safety position acquired in a construction setting; Advanced First Aid (OFA Level 3) is a must; Experience in residential construction within a General Contractor; CSO designation and/or National Construction Safety Officer or similar accreditation through a recognized training authority; Additional training in safety an asset including but not limited to, WHMIS, CSTS, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform etc.; YOUR REWARDS Axiom Builders offers more than just competitive compensation and benefits; we give you the tools to build a long-term career. The base salary (hourly wage) range for this role is $35-40/hour, adjusted for experience, plus a competitive bonus program. Requirements
