Location: Nunavut, CA The Company B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Canada, Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries. Position Supervisor, Underground Maintenance, Nunavut Location and Reporting Structure Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada. Responsibilities Conduct detailed inspections of underground mining equipment, identifying and prioritizing maintenance needs. Supervise the maintenance and inspection of ventilation, hand and power tools, fire extinguishers, air, water and drain lines. Oversee and actively participate in the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Develop comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime. Supervise the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, modifications, and expenses. Manage an inventory system for spare parts, tools, and specialized equipment. Assist in the development and management of the maintenance budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources. Enforce B2Gold's safety protocols and ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulations. Identify training needs and provide guidance for continuous improvement of the team's skills and knowledge. Desired Competencies And Requirements Five (5) years' experience as an underground maintenance supervisor within mining operations or similar role is required. Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal certification or Heavy Equipment Technician Red Seal Certification or Nunavut CoQ is required. Supervisory experience preferred. Detailed technical knowledge of underground mining equipment, and advanced diagnostics. Strong proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, maintenance management software, and Microsoft Office Suite is considered an asset.
