Position Health & Safety Advisor/Trainer, Nunavut Location and Reporting Structure Reporting to the Superintendent, Health & Safety, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada. Responsibilities • Ensure a safe environment for all project employees, contractors, and visitors. Promote and implement controls to ensure compliance with relevant acts and regulations, promote continuous improvement of performance through Health & Safety programs and procedures.• Conduct safety related inspections, assist with incident investigations, and aid departments with job hazard analysis development to ensure compliance of relevant acts, regulations, and B2Gold Nunavut's Health & Safety programs.• Facilitate H&S related courses including but not limited to; site safety induction, first aid, mine rescue, and WHMIS.• Implement heavy equipment theory and practical training.• Perform theoretical training in a classroom environment and practical training at the worksite on Heavy Equipment.• Develop, maintain and update training programs, evaluations, and position-based training matrixes.• Liaise with various divisions, departments and sections regarding their needs to coordinate training schedules Desired Competencies and Requirements • Five (5) years of experience in a Health and Safety Officer role with significant experience in training on heavy equipment and H&S courses, in the mining or construction industry.• Post Secondary Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.• A Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) designation or equivalent.• Completion of WSCC Supervisor Level II. Compensation and Benefits For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $141,934.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $51.50 and overtime rate of $77.25) in a work year. Requirements

Candidates must have at least five years of experience in a Health and Safety role within the mining or construction industry. A post-secondary certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and a Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) designation are required.
