Duties Research and analyze caselaw and legislation Draft pleadings, affidavits, briefs, and correspondence Prepare affidavits of records and manage productions Appear in chambers on procedural and interlocutory applications Conduct examinations for discovery Carry smaller files end to end under supervision Work on the firm's major contingency files Candidate Requirements Called to the Alberta bar or eligible for call shortly Interest in litigation and drive to build advocacy skills Clear writing and rigorous analysis Strong organization and attention to detail Hours Annual billable target 1,350 Compensation And Benefits Base salary $90,000 to $115,000 A contingency bonus on the files you work Health and dental benefits Law Society of Alberta fees and professional liability insurance paid by the firm, plus significant additional liability coverage A home-office setup allowance plus a monthly phone and internet contribution Practice-management software, legal research tools, and AI-assisted workflows To Apply Submit a cover letter and resume to [email protected].
