Role Description The Part-time Lead role at Banana Republic in Ottawa, ON is an on-site position responsible for supporting daily store operations and delivering an elevated customer experience. The Lead partners with store leadership to drive sales by engaging customers, offering styling advice, and ensuring product presentation and merchandising standards are consistently maintained. This role helps coordinate the sales floor, supports fitting room and cash wrap activities, and assists with opening and closing procedures as directed. The Lead also contributes to training and coaching team members, promoting adherence to company policies, and reinforcing brand values around customer service and community. The position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Qualifications Strong customer service and client engagement skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide personalized styling and product recommendations. Retail sales experience, including cash handling, point-of-sale proficiency, and familiarity with store operations and merchandising standards. Leadership capabilities such as guiding peers, supporting training, modeling company values, and contributing to a positive, inclusive team environment. Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, peers, and leaders in a fast-paced setting. Ability to stand, move, and lift up to moderate weights for extended periods, and to maintain an organized, clean, and safe sales floor and backroom. Flexibility to work a part-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the store’s operating hours.
