Role Description This full-time hybrid role for a Sheet Metal Worker is based in Belleville, ON, with some work-from-home flexibility for planning, documentation, or coordination tasks. The Sheet Metal Worker will fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components used in HVAC and related systems, following technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include measuring and cutting materials, operating hand and power tools, forming and joining metal parts, and inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy. The role also involves collaborating with warehouse, installation, and project teams to ensure timely completion of orders, maintaining clean and safe work areas, and supporting continuous improvement in fabrication processes. The Sheet Metal Worker may assist with inventory control, material handling, and communication with supervisors on project status and any issues affecting deadlines or quality. Qualifications Strong sheet metal fabrication and installation skills, including measuring, cutting, forming, and joining metal components. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for HVAC and related systems. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment commonly used in sheet metal work. Solid understanding of workplace safety practices, PPE use, and safe handling of materials and equipment. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks safely. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with supervisors, installers, and warehouse staff. Basic computer skills for documentation, work order tracking, and hybrid work coordination. Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship in sheet metal work or HVAC is an asset. Previous experience in a sheet metal shop, HVAC fabrication, or related industrial environment is preferred. Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and reliable work habits in a hybrid on-site/remote setting.
