Position Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Bartender to join our team on a full time basis. As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests by crafting exceptional coffee / barista services and cocktails. (must have a "negative" criminal record check) * A gratuity program! * Group health benefits plan (Dental, Vision, Paramedical, and more) * Generous staff discounts at all our properties * Family and friends discount at Basecamp properties * Free access to the Everwild Nordic Spa * Discounts on food & beverage at Rhythm & Howl * Company paid staff events. * Room for advancement in our growing company * Be part of western Canada's fastest-growing hospitality brand * A hands-on people focused Basecamp culture Key Responsibilities * Create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere for guests, providing personalized and attentive service. * Prepare and serve a wide variety of expertly crafted cocktails, maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency. * Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, and other beverages, and provide recommendations to guests based on their preferences and menu offerings. * Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between the bar and the kitchen, especially in relation to food and cocktail pairings. * Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including glassware, utensils, and ingredients, following health and safety regulations at all times. * Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, actively listening to their preferences and anticipating their needs to deliver exceptional service. * Provide accurate and efficient handling of cash transactions, ensuring the proper recording of all sales and maintaining strict accountability. * Stay up to date with industry trends, new beverage products, and mixology techniques, and incorporate them into the development of innovative and enticing cocktail offerings. * Assist in training and mentoring junior bar staff, promoting a positive and collaborative team environment. REQUIREMENTS * Previous experience as a Bartender in a high-end or fine dining restaurant environment is highly desirable. * Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and mixology techniques. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and graciously with guests and colleagues. * A passion for providing exceptional customer service, with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to exceeding guest expectations. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalism. * Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of beverages even during peak hours. * Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for handling transactions. * Flexibility in working evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the demands of the business.
