The In-Store Pick-Up Outfitter is responsible for greeting customers, assisting with order placement, and managing the in-store pick-up process for items arriving from the distribution center. Summary: Reporting to the Group Sales Manager – Front End-Receiving, the In-Store Pick-Up Outfitter will greet and assist customers in placing orders, check item availability, answer questions about new and previous orders, and solve any minor issues. During the order and pick-up process, process customer funds accurately and appropriately, while explaining additional company services and processes. Responsibilities: Provide legendary customer experience for every customer and promote company programs Place orders on behalf of the customer in store, to get an item that may not be available in the store at the time Receive In-Store Pick-Up orders that arrive in store from the Distribution Centre Call customers to inform them that their orders have arrived Handle questions about how the In-Store Pick-Up process works to ensure the customer is well informed Process gift card sales through the point-of-sale system to create In-Store Pick-Up orders Use current Point-of-Sale and Inventory (SAP) systems to accurately and appropriately complete customer transactions following all policies including those requiring checking for identification and age requirements; knowledge of how to process debit, credit cards, etc Respond and handle customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate Qualifications: One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations Ability to use good judgment and logic A Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License is required; training will be provided if necessary Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s specific products is an asset Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s welcomes applications from people with disabilities.
