Job summary
Senior Project Manager, Healthcare Construction (Vancouver, BC) Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex healthcare construction projects throughout the Greater Vancouver Area. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing major healthcare new construction projects from pre-construction through occupancy, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is ideal for a seasoned construction professional with extensive experience managing large-scale healthcare facilities and a strong understanding of the unique challenges associated with healthcare construction, including operational environments, infection control requirements, stakeholder management, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of healthcare construction projects. Manage all phases of projects, including pre-construction, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and risk management plans. Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and site teams. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, healthcare authorities, and trade partners. Oversee contract administration, change management, RFIs, submittals, and project reporting. Coordinate with design consultants, engineers, authorities having jurisdiction, and healthcare stakeholders. Qualifications 10+ years of Project Management experience in commercial, institutional, or healthcare construction. Proven experience managing healthcare new construction projects. Strong understanding of healthcare construction standards, commissioning requirements, and regulatory processes. Experience managing projects valued from $20M to $200M+. Demonstrated ability to lead large project teams and multiple stakeholders. Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management abilities. Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software. Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
