Application Developer – PeopleSoft (Intermediate) We are currently seeking an Intermediate PeopleSoft Application Developer to support a major PeopleSoft 9.2 upgrade project for a leading Bank. This role will contribute to upgrading and enhancing core financial systems that support General Ledger (GL) processing and regulatory reporting. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a large-scale enterprise upgrade initiative while working alongside experienced developers and subject matter experts. Location: Hybrid – Toronto, ON, 81 Bay Street Onsite requirement: Every Thursday and the 4th Friday of each month (5 days per month) Duration: 8 months Role Overview The Application Developer – Intermediate (PeopleSoft) will support the PeopleSoft 9.2 upgrade initiative, primarily focusing on retrofitting and enhancing existing customizations to align with the target platform. This role reports to the Senior Manager and involves close collaboration with developers and subject matter experts to execute development tasks during the upgrade process. Key Responsibilities Retrofit and rewrite existing PeopleSoft custom code for the PeopleSoft 9.2 target environment Enhance existing functionality to support the upgraded platform Collaborate with senior developers and SMEs to complete assigned development tasks Support database-driven development using Oracle and SQL Ensure customizations function properly post-upgrade and meet internal standards Participate in team-based development activities related to the upgrade project Note: This is a hands-on development role focused on execution rather than solution ownership or leadership. Must-Have Requirements 5–8 years of PeopleSoft application development experience Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, particularly retrofitting existing custom code Strong understanding of PeopleSoft proprietary development objects Solid experience with Oracle databases and SQL Ability to enhance and rewrite existing code rather than building solutions entirely from scratch Experience working in structured, instruction-driven development environments Nice to Have Experience with additional PeopleSoft proprietary objects Prior exposure to financial systems or finance-related PeopleSoft modules Oracle or PeopleSoft certifications
