Summary: Proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective surgical and team management skills. Acts as a professional role model for other members of the surgical team. Is responsible for developing self and team members and sharing organizational information. Works collaboratively with the surgeon and other health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Acquires and maintains the knowledge, judgement and skills specific to the expanded role for clinical practice, and practices at the direction of the surgeon. Minimum Qualifications: Other information: Required 3 years - Surgical Related. Competency-May require completion of assigned competencies and physician sign off for 6 trocar placements with at least two different surgeons and 6 local injections with at least two different surgeons within 90 days. Education: Essential: Associates Degree Technical Program Completion or Degree Essential: Education specialization: Nursing RN First Assist Technical Essential: Education equivalent experience: Required Associates - Nursing; Required Technical - Registered Nurse First Assistant Required Technical - Registered Nurse First Assistant Credentials: Essential: Basic Life Support Registered Nurse Cert Operating Room Nurse Required Credential equivalent experience: BLS (Basic Life Support); Required RN (Registered Nurse) - State of Florida; Required CNOR (Surgical); Preferred RNFA (First Assist) Preferred RNFA (First Assist) Facility: BayCare Health System, Surgery-SJH Location: St Josephs Main and Childrens Status: Full Time, Exempt: No Shift Hours: 6:30 AM -7:00 PM Shift: Shift 1 Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies Weekend Work: Occasional On Call: Yes How often will this team member be working remotely? Requirements

Requires an Associate's degree in Nursing and a Registered Nurse First Assistant technical certification. Candidates must have 3 years of surgical-related experience and hold BLS and CNOR certifications.
