Job summary

Job Title: Registered Counseling Therapist Location: Toronto Immigration Holding Centre (Onsite, 4 days/week) Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday Reports To: Manager, Clinical Practice PAY- $90/hr Position Summary Bayshore Northern Staffing is in search of a Registered Counseling Therapist interested in PART TIME work to join a healthcare clinic that provides medical services for all clients of various risk levels. This includes but is not limited to: adult males, adult females, families, pregnant women, 2SLGBTQI+ individuals, minors, persons suffering from a medical condition or disability, addictions, persons with suspected or diagnosed mental illness, and victims of human trafficking. The Registered Counseling Therapist will receive, assess, and treat clients in their care when medical attention is required or requested by the client, as well as coordinate the care of clients with local health care providers. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: * Conducting individual assessments. * Providing addictions counselling and therapy. * Developing individual treatment plans. * Evaluating and monitoring individual progression. * Maintaining and updating records. * Making appropriate referrals to medical professionals; and, * Providing awareness about external resources for continuing support. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: * Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years, working as a Registered Counseling Therapist; * A Master's degree (Psychology, Social Work, Nursing) and professional certification from the provincially regulated authority; * A certificate in Mental Health and Addictions Counselling SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: All candidates will be required to obtain and show proof of: * A valid RELIABILITY STATUS security clearance (request form and fingerprint form will be provided by Bayshore) * A Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) (must be within one-year) * Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (must be within two-years)

Requirements
