Job summary

Employer: Bayshore HealthCare Location: Toronto Pay: $40 -$60/hour (Depending on site location and nursing designation) Hours for Work: Shifts are 0000-0800, 0800-1600 and 1600 to 0000 daily. We are looking for skilled Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with a minimum of 12 months experience to join our team. You will be sent to our infection prevention and control service sites in Toronto. Duties & Responsibilities The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: * Provide traveler support by utilizing the skills of observation, assessment, communication, collaboration, supportive counseling and health teaching * Observe and document any traveler conditions and changes in accordance with professional standards * Collaborate with all members of support team to create and modify support plans as per assessment results and traveler support needs * Provide support according to the established support plan and ensure that the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort, and safety of travelers are met to the greatest possible extent; support must be within the scope of practice of a RPN/RN. * Perform routine nursing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Practice as defined by the provincial licensing body * Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) practices as required in traveler support areas. * Perform specialized nursing procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstrated. * Participate in mandatory and voluntary internal and/or external continuing education activities. * Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures. * Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the Bayshore Northern Staffing team division’s Quality Management System. * Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns. * Maintain confidentiality of traveler and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel. * Complete other tasks as requested Candidate Requirements: * Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program; * Current registration with the provincial licensing body in good standing; * Evidence of current CPR/BLS certification; * Minimum 1 year experience working as an RPN/RN; * A valid RELIABILITY STATUS security clearance (request form and fingerprint form will be provided by Bayshore and full reimbursement) * Previous experience in the hospital sector or long-term support setting * Only candidates selected to be moved forward in the recruitment process will be contacted by Bayshore’s Recruitment Team to schedule a conversation

Requirements

Requires graduation from an accredited Nursing Program, current provincial registration, and CPR/BLS certification. Candidates must have at least one year of experience as an RN/RPN and a valid Reliability Status security clearance.
