Mechanical Engineer and Project Lead- Mining and Metals

Participate in project design studies Lead and participate in preparing plans and specifications and perform detailed engineering based on guidelines for mandates involving heavy machinery, conveyors, pump systems, crushers and metallurgical processes Carry out design calculations and ensure that plans meet guidelines as well as legal and regulatory requirements Establish and maintain relationships with clients to define their needs Present technical information, concepts or study results Verify and produce files for tenders, specifications and other technical documents Assign and review the work of junior engineers (engineers-in-training), technicians and drafters assigned to projects and assess technical scope Ensure that work complies with budgets, schedules, estimates and established procedures Assist more experienced personnel with the technical aspects of complex tasks Perform technical information statements Occasionally supervise contractors on site Be a key team member in delivering small to major modernization projects or new installations Do your qualities and values match our corporate culture? Lead and execute all phases of mechanical engineering projects for mining and metal installations, ensuring technical quality and budget compliance. Responsibilities include designing heavy machinery systems, managing junior staff, and developing new business opportunities.

Requires a university degree in mechanical engineering and 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. Candidates must be a registered P.Eng. or OIQ member and possess a valid driver's license and ASP Construction card.
