Type of position: Regular Your future role on our team As an Electrical Engineer in the BBA Vancouver office, you will lead and contribute to the execution of projects in conceptual, design, construction, commissioning and operational phases for our clients in the Energy, Industrial and Mining sectors. Work collaboratively with clients, project managers, engineers, designers and drafters in the preparation of deliverables to BBA and client standards Prepare, review and approve engineering design packages including reports, studies, estimates, budgets, schedules, drawings, calculations, specifications, quotations, proposals, presentations Develop and implement work methods Perform site inspections, testing and commissioning at client sites, locally and abroad Oversee and prepare proposals including scoping, cost estimate and schedule Manage and lead single and multidisciplinary project work packages including preparing budget and schedule, and tracking deliverable progress Train, coach, mentor and supervise intermediate and junior Engineers, Technicians and drafters Maintain and grow business relationships and the quality of BBA’s professional services In addition to the technical responsibilities of this position, we are looking for individuals who have experience and interest in project leadership responsibilities such as project discipline leads, project engineers and project managers. Strong commitment to health and safety Results-driven Ability to share and pass on knowledge Inspirational leadership Ability to see beyond established standards Rigour and ethical Overview Of Certifications And Job Requirements Electrical Engineering Degree, or similar 20+ years of relevant project experience Registered with EGBC as a P.Eng or eligible to register with EGBC as a P.Eng. within the next year A valid class 5 BC driver’s license Excellent communication skills with high competency in English (both spoken and written) Ability to travel on short notice to customer sites and other BBA offices Experience preparing, reviewing and approving technical documents such as studies, reports, specifications, calculations, plans, and instructions Experience preparing and reviewing design deliverables such as single line diagrams, layouts, elevations, material lists, cable and termination schedules,and more Experience preparing and reviewing project estimates Familiarity with IEEE Color Books, CEC and NEC An Overview Of BBA’s Total Reward Annual base salary, between $146 000 to $200 000 Annual premium program for regular employees Onsite mobility premium Time bank Cellphone fee reimbursements Group insurance plan from the first day of employment, including disability insurance and a telemedicine program Retirement savings plan Annual vacation and sick leave Premium for employee referrals BBA considers many factors to determine the annual base salary such as, but no limited to: Location of the position, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications, and other relevant competencies. What you’ll do

Requirements

Requires an electrical engineering degree or similar, at least 20 years of relevant project experience, and EGBC P.Eng. registration or eligibility to register within one year. Candidates must have a valid Class 5 BC driver’s license, strong spoken and written English, travel availability, experience with engineering design documents and estimates, and familiarity with IEEE Color Books, CEC, and NEC.
