Type of position: Regular Your future role on our team BBA is seeking a project manager with 10 to 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and tailings storage facility management. You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering multidisciplinary projects involving tailings management facilities, waste rock storage facilities, water management infrastructure and other mining geotechnical works. You’ll ensure deadlines, budgets, quality standards and health and safety requirements are met, while maintaining close communication with clients and project teams. This role combines project management, technical coordination, risk management and business relationship development across Canada and, depending on the project, internationally. Plan, organize and manage projects involving tailings storage facilities, waste rock storage facilities, water management infrastructure and related geotechnical works Define and deliver project scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets and resource requirements Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, partners, subcontractors and stakeholders involved in projects Monitor project progress, costs, risks, changes and deliverable quality Help coordinate and review geotechnical studies, stability analyses, water management plans, site investigation programs and construction activities Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, design criteria and industry best practices applicable to tailings management facilities Prepare and lead project meetings, produce progress reports and ensure clear communication with clients Anticipate technical and contractual issues, recommend solutions and support decision-making Help prepare proposals, estimate efforts and develop long-term relationships with mining-sector clients Mentor less experienced team members and promote knowledge sharing and project management best practices Do your qualities and values match our corporate culture? Advanced English and French skills are required, while PMP certification and a bachelor's degree in business administration or civil, geological, or mining engineering are listed as assets.
